Membership & Donations
We invite you to join the Suffolk County Historical Society, where the focus for nearly 130 years has been and continues to be the preservation of the rich history of Suffolk County, Long Island, NY, and its people. The exhibits, educational programs, and research library services that SCHS offers reflect the county's rich history, including Native Americans, English settlers who arrived in 1640, and various themes that have influenced the growth and development of Suffolk County.
All members enjoy free use of the society's Library collections, including research services offered by mail at reduced rates. Photocopying of research materials is available to members at 10 cents a sheet.
Members receive a 10% discount on most items in the museum's Weathervane Gift Shop. The gift shop offers a wide selection of books and pamphlets on local history, genealogy, social history, and related topics. In addition, invitations and notices for special programs and events are mailed to the membership throughout the year. Members also receive our quarterly newsletter and our popular Photo of the Week email series.
Please contact the Director for details on corporate sponsorship and membership.
